Details: SUMMARY: Compliance with SWTR DETAILS: The City operates a small system that serves approximately 100 people through 88 connections. Water is taken from a shallow well at the bank of the John Day River. This well has been determined to be Groundwater Under the Influence of Surface Water (GUI). As such, the City has been put on notice that filtration must be added to this source.Bill Goss with the DWP requested that HBH contact the CWS to provide preliminary assistance with the selection of treatment or new source technologies.Coordinated with treatment plant manufacturer and requested verification on cost estimate for slow sand filter media. ACTION NEEDED: Complete evaluation report on options available to City to meet the requirements of the SWTR.
