| Details: | SUMMARY: Regulatory Assistance DETAILS: Received letter dated 6/27/12 that the DWP had received a water sample from the system listed as deactivated. I visited site, operator stated owner since 2007, still operating store, even though new AG license issued in April 2011. The sample received on June 22/2012 is a routine quarterly sample that is treated with residual chlorination. The system has contracted with a lab to take residual samples, and takes chlorine levels only when chlorine tank is filled with NSF chlorine. The chlorinator is a flow based system that feeds into the water line as it exists the pressure tank into the supply line-- the chlorine mix tank was almost empty. There is a flowmeter, pressure switch, pressure gauge at 60 psi, floor drain, and NFS Bleach (EPA#10897-26 HBSB Multi-Chlor), and the pitiless adaptor does not appear to have a screened vent. There faucet to drain the tank, appears to be able to be used as a raw water tap. ACTION NEEDED: The system is not recording chlorine residuals, has not been taking quarterly coliform samples since September 2010, and so now taking quarterly coliform samples beginning June 22. 2012. Discussion recording daily chlorine residuals, taking annual raw water sample, annual nitrate sample, and one time arsenic sample. | ||
