Details: | SUMMARY: L&C Update DETAILS: I sent Mike Profitt an email summarizing the requirements for the Lead & Copper (L&C) Exceedence from 2009. The EPA audits the State office, Lane County is under the State review and it has come to their attention that no evidence has been submitted to verify L&C treatment is not needed. The EPA/State & County takes L&C Exceedence very serious with water systems especially when it has to deal with schools. I need to get a copy of the Water Quality Parameter (WQP) results you took for the Crow High School during the time that the levels were over the MCL (maximum contaminate level) in 2009. I originally contacted you on the phone on 9/15/2009 regarding the WQP etc and requested they be sent in. I never received the any documentation and sent out a letter on March 29, 2011 requesting WQP’s along with public education materials and requested a follow up letter from you by May 10, 2011 as to what is taking place? You sent a letter to Lane County 5/5/11-- however it did not provide a copy of the WQP results or Raw Water L&C sample results. Even though the latest samples submitted this summer were below the MCL levels, the State Office needs verification that the L&C issues have been resolved. I need the following in order to show the State that the Crow High School is in full compliance with the L&C issues. I need-- 2 rounds of WQP results), One raw water sample collected from the entry point for L&C and any public education you may have sent out or posted would also be great. ACTION NEEDED: Waiting for copy of WQP’s, Raw Water L&C Samples and any public education materials posted. |
