| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert ID Chem5517 - Nitrate DETAILS: The nitrate sample collected 9/7/12 tested about ˝ the MCL at 7.46 ppm. This is a confirmation sample following the 9/4/12 nitrate sample that tested about the MCL. 9/17/12 I spoke with George on 9/7/12 and advised him to collect a confirmation sample. The nitrate sample collected on 9/7/2 tested about ˝ the MCL at 7.46 ppm. The confirmation sample follows the 9/4/12 nitrate sample that tested about the MCL. The average of the two samples is 9.03 ppm. No further action is required. With respect to quarterly sampling-- Scott Curry and I agree that the record shows that nitrate levels are “reliably and consistently” below the MCL, so that another round of quarterly nitrate sampling is unnecessary. ACTION NEEDED: No further action needed. | ||
