| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive TC on well system DETAILS: System has used high chlorine for iron removal in the past, but discontinued following the last survey. How showing positive for TC. Last survey noted failure to test daily for residual chlorine as required, and no plan review on reconfigured pressure tank. Survey also suggested that you could not get more efficient removal of iron using a water softener. SWA shows well has no seal, is from a relatively shallow aquifer, and that there are possible fecal sources nearby. 8/16/12 spoke to Gary who has been away for two days. He confirmed that they were not currently chlorinating. Will take the repeats, including one from the source. Also discussed options for reactivating Cl-, including testing of finished water if they rechlorinate at their former levels, possible addition of w water softener for the iron, and lower lever level residual (required only twice a week testing). Plan review required for any changes. ACTION NEEDED: Await test results-- make corrections to SDWIS regarding system components. | ||
