Details: | SUMMARY: Reservoir Replacement Recommendations DETAILS: Martin Klinger and the Panther Creek WD took over operations of the Salmon River Water company in 2011. The approximately 51 Salmon River WC households are currently served by the treated water from the Panther Creek Water District. This water is pumped up to an old redwood water reservoir which appears to have a maximum capacity of approximately 50,000 gallons. Due to severe leaking at the upper levels of the reservoir, the current maximum depth is kept at about 14 to 15 feet, which results in an effective maximum storage volume of about 35,000 gallons. The current reservoir is leaking around the base. In addition, the metal bands are in poor condition and are in need of replacement. Mr Klinger contacted HBH to provide options for repair, replacement or other ideas for the water reservoir. HBH met with Mr Klinger at the reservoir site and composed recommendation report which looked at repair, replacement, and direct service from Panther Creek WD. ACTION NEEDED: None Needed |
