| Details: | Received anonymous complaint re: use of an un-approved well. System supplies water to a restaurant and store. Called owner Talya and she said she is still using the same well (Desc 6486) that we are aware of. A 2nd old well exists on the property and she is looking into bringing it back into use. I explained that the unknown well is not approved for public use until it goes through plan review and is approved by the Drinking Water Program. She assured me that the old well is not being used. The old well should not be physically connected to any part of the public system that supplies water to the restaurant. We also discussed routine sampling requirements. System was on a quarterly coliform sampling schedule but missed a couple samples and was changed to monthly. The last samples were May 2018. Talya said she would take a routine coliform asap next week. I will look into monthly sampling as the missed samples may have been a result of the well being off-line in June and unable to sample and a triggered sample on May 14th may have been mislabeled as a routine and not credited as a triggered. | ||
