Details: | SUMMARY: Response to Loss of Pressure DETAILS: Bob had indicated leak that caused the loss of positive pressure, was fixed at 3:15 on 10/30. Line was flushed for about 40 minutes. He then recognized that adequate minimum 20 psi pressure had returned. He checked chlorine residual at the electric shop at the plant (first connection after the break) and detected a 2 mg/L residual. He grabbed a coliform sample at 4 pm on 10/30. Residual levels were 2 ppm at the first user after the hydropneumatic tank observed around 6 pm on 10/30. He felt this indicated that the 2 ppm from the batch hydropneumatic tank had made its way to the distribution system. Residual levels around the system were from 0.95 to 1.60 mg/L. The coliform sample results were received at 3 pm on 10/31 and were coliform absent. I indicated that Beaver had followed the BMP for this and that the boil water notice may be lifted. ACTION NEEDED: Bob will lift the boil order. I recommended that the system take their November routine next week. |
