| Details: | SUMMARY: Total coliform positive special sample - 10/31/12 DETAILS: Spoke to Andy on 11/2/12, regarding follow up 10/31/12 special coliform samples taken by District in response to original E. coli positive PWB Routine on 10/30/12. Andy indicated several taken near Districts conduit connection with PWB. One special was TC present and EC absent, while others in the vicinity are all coliform absent. District feels sample error is the cause, given rushed collection technique and stormy weather. Sample has a 1.09 mg/L chlorine residual associated with it. We discussed special (non-compliance) versus routine (compliance) sample labelling, and discussed DWS entering all special samples collected on 10/31 for consumer transparency. ACTION NEEDED: District is taking November required routine samples, which will include some in the area near TC present special sample. I indicated District is pro-actively following up both original unconfirmed EC+ PWB sample, and Districts TC+ special sample. District to forward November routine results to DWS for compliance. | ||
