| Details: | SUMMARY: End of November loss of pressure events DETAILS: Jim called at 10 a today to summarize two recent loss of positive pressure events due to line work. On 11/24 loss occurred to 13 connections due to main repair on Louden Rd, Called customers w/ boil notice & left door hangers if no one answered. Followed BMP to flush, restore pressure & chlorine residual. Two samples taken 11/26 return coliform absent on 11/27. 11/27 at 2 pm called customers to lift boil. Second event occurred on 11/28, as loss of pressure occurred to 5 connections to install a fire hydrant on Hinkle Rd. Door tags for boil notice hung on all houses on 11/27. On 11/28, installed hydrant, then flushed and got psi and chlorine residuals up. Sample taken on 11/28 returned absent on 11/29. Boil notice lifted. ACTION NEEDED: Requested Jim that District notify DWS prior to work and loss of pressure and ensuing public notice. Requested that written notice be hand delivered to all affected. DWS to continue to work with system as they implement BMPs for pressure loss and cutting into mainlines developed by DWS for future loss of positive pressure instances. | ||
