| Details: | SUMMARY: Turbidimeter Sample Pump Assistance DETAILS: HBH was contacted by Mr Van Dyken following a Sanitary Survey from DWP. The small community system pulls water from Rock Creek. This water is treated by an old Key-Pac CCB package treatment plant. This plant is a conventional process using hydraulic coagulation/ flocculation, followed by sedimentation, then rapid sand filtration. Following treatment, disinfection is accomplished using liquid NaOCI. The water system supplies 19 homes with estimated service population of 40. The water system has been required to provide a turbidimeter. The water system us requesting assistance finding an NSF approved sample pump so that they do not have to waste the sample flow (due to very low production flows for the system). HBH researched NSF-61 approved sample pumps. Pumps which were found we deemed to be too expensive for the system. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to look for less expensive alternatives which are NSF approved, if appropriate. | ||
