| Details: | SUMMARY: Arsenic Treatment Assistance DETAILS: The City of Vale installed an Ion Exchange WTP for the removal of Arsenic from its well water. This project was originally an EPA Demonstration Project. The original 700 series media failed and was switched out by the EPA/Kinetico with 300 series media. This media has recently failed. The City contacted HBH for assistance with this situation. The City serves 1,997 people through 708 connections. HBH reviewed work done by Battelle on TOC issue and researched alternative cleaning mechanisms and resin type for more effective run times in conjunction with the existing interfering elements. HBH had extended phone conference with City personnel to discuss issues and next steps. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for City to provide information on cleaning strategies and work that has been done on alternative resins. | ||
