Details: SUMMARY: Boil Notice - Main Break DETAILS: Jim mentioned at 2 pm today that a 10-inch mainline broke today near the intersection of Littlepage and Grange Hall Road near the center of town. Main line is thin-walled and subject to breaks. System is calling all affected users today (approximately 200 connections) in this vicinity notifying them to boil their water until further notice as the system may lose pressure. District has notified the Corbett school and convenient store in town. System to follow BMP for Repairing Existing Water Mains. Hopes to repair, and flush system, restore minimum pressure and chlorine residual and then collect coliform bacteria samples. System will consult with DWS prior to lifting boil notice for affected users. ACTION NEEDED: System to follow BMP for Repairing Water Mains. System to label samples as routines and consult with DWS prior to lifting boil order. DWS provided after hour DWS phone # to Jim.
