| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Spoke to Jean 10/2/12 regarding the positive coliform. I explained the requirements for repeat sampling. We discussed taking 3 repeat samples in the distribution system as well as a triggered source sample. We discussed the need to take 5 temporary routine distribution samples in October. I sent several guidance documents to her via email: A coliform health effects information document, a coliform sampling plan, a schematic for repeat sampling and the decision tree fro typing a water system. We discussed the need to update the contact information and phone number is not correct. The following day I received a call from Jeans husband Ken Corbin. He was concerned about the cost of repeat samples. He explained they are a small system with not extra funds set aside. He wanted to know what would happen if they didnt sample. I told him that state regulated system are not issued violations and told him where he could read the language under the violation tab on their system info page. ACTION NEEDED: Monitor to see if repeat testing occurs. Continue to provide guidance to the system. The last survey was in 1999 | ||
