| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform 10/18/12 DETAILS: Talked to George by phone who said he was already taking more samples to lab. Reviewed equipment for a system chlorinating for insurance that one source sample was required plus 4 repeat sample from the distribution system. He said he would collect and submit the correct number of samples ASAP. Reaffirmed that 5 temporary routine samples would be due in November. I asked that he call if coliform were found in any of these samples. George didnt acknowledge chance of the routine sample being contaminated at time of collection. He said he thought the problem might be related to a leak in his chlorine injection line which he would be replacing later in the day. He said his chlorine levels were usually a little more than 1.0 including in the last week though he says he only checks a couple of times a week rather than daily. With a couple of 2500 gallon storage tanks and less than 15 household connections there is probably ample time for the chlorine to disinfect. ACTION NEEDED: 4 repeat samples 1 source sample ASAP 5 temporary routine samples in November | ||
