Details:	SUMMARY: TCR MCL violation-- shock chlorination DETAILS: Mike & I spoke on the phone yesterday when the repeat samples came back positive for TC. Because Mike does not yet have a computer, I faxed him today our 3-page Well Disinfection Technical Bulletin and the Plan review instructions for a new well (7 pages). Mike had mentioned that construction of a new drinking water well was going on nearby. I also emailed his supervisor, Tim Bednar, the links to the Plan Review information on our website. Mike plans to check on a couple things at the wellhead (previous survey mentioned unsealed openings on the wellhead where the electrical wires entered, no screen on vent) and then shock chlorinate the well and whole system overnight, perhaps even tonight. ACTION NEEDED: Await outcome of the routine samples after shock chlorination. Await Plan Review materials for the new well. Send them the appropriate Public Notice template (Tier 2) for a total coliform violation.
