| Details: | SUMMARY: Continued follow up for Ecoli DETAILS: Made contact with system 12/14. System informed me the boil notice had been issued and all residents had received it and she also informed me nearly 4 1/2 gallons of bleach was poured straight into the well tank. I asked if anyone was drinking the water after boiling with that much chlorine and at that point she wasnt sure. I hung up and began calling various people at the state to get some technical support. I was unable to reach anyone so I called the system back and explained it doesnt sound like the system was shocked properly and there may be too much chlorine. I stated to not use the water at all. I instructed her to switch to all bottled water and to have everyone else on the system do the same thing and she indicated she would call everyone right away. We also talked over in great detail to first begin with flushing out the entire system and starting from scratch. I walked her through how to flush and she understood and indicated it would bet done first thing Saturday morning. As of 12/14 5pm, system was shut down and switching to bottled water. The system was going to completely flush itself out on Saturday and more follow up would then occur 12/17. By Friday 5pm I did get hold of T Pattee as well as Daniel Hough. Daniel agreed with this course of action and various parties are unclear of what boiling water does to highly chlorinated water. ACTION NEEDED: More follow up required | ||
