Details: Hi Troy,
I received a call from Troy Trute to let me know that their last quarterly DBP sampling completed 12-2-2020 had an individual TTHM result of 0.083 mg/l. Although the individual TTHM result is 0.083 mg/l, this did not result in an exceedance of the 0.080 MCL, which is determined based on the locational running annual average (LRAA) of results over the past 4 quarters. This also did not result in an exceedance of the 0.080 Operational Evaluation Level (OEL). No further action is required at this time, but I let Troy know to be sure to include the result in the range of DBP results reported in the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) for calendar year 2020. I sent a follow-up e-mail on 9-18-20 and again on 9-22-20 with information about automatic flushing and chlorine hold studies that may help with managing DBP formation. Troy indicated that in early 2021, they were going to start feeding ACH coagulant ahead of the membrane filters to reduce soluble TOC.
