Assistance Type: WATER QUALITY ALERT RESPONSE
Reasons: Disinfection Byproducts

Details: I received an alert for the last round of DBP sampling completed 11/17/20 showing levels of 0.0871 mg/l for TTHM and 0.064 mg/l for HAA5 at the SM-2 - 13405 Thompson Rd site. These results(combined with results from the previous 2 quarters) caused an exceedance of the Operational Evaluation Level (OEL) requiring an Operational Evaluation to be completed and returned to me within 90 days from today. I called Don and spoke to him about the alert as well as sent him an e-mail on 12/2/20. The link to a template and instructions on how to complete the Evaluation were provided in the e-mail and the circuit rider (Dan Vaage with Civil West) was cc’d the e-mail to see if he could also assist. Information on how to complete the OEL Evaluation and how the OEL is calculated was provided in the email and I provided my cell number (503-504-8222) in case Don had any further questions.

Associated Alerts: CHEM9152 - 11/30/2020 - TOTAL HALOACETIC ACIDS (HAA5) , TTHM
