| Details: | SUMMARY: Contact time DETAILS: Hiland proposes to install 8 inch pipe in a serpentine pattern to provide ~1,500 gallons of water between the treatment facility and the storage tank. This would generate a CT of 30 for a peak hourly flow rate of 50 gpm (anticipate actual flow at 30-35 gpm) at 6 C and chlorine residual of 1.0 mg/L for 0.5-log Giardia treatment. This is a valid means to generate contact time. It does not include contact time obtained from the reservoir. Hiland will send a written explanation of the proposal to add to the plan review #2010-115. ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
