| Details: | SUMMARY: Ecoli positive DETAILS: GWR annual sample taken and came back e coli +. They normally chlorinate at .2 to .3ppm. Had already doused their well with lots! of chlorine before attempting the repeat samples, so advised them (after discussion w DHough) to postpone those until just before the violation deadline. SWA shows shallow well, shallow aquifer, proximity to surface water. After discussion with DH, advised them to go ahead and post notice at least for over the weekend, when high chlorine would still be working its way out of the well anyway. On 2/12 calculated a CT for them of 0.6ppm based on tank volume and sewer meter readings, as an interim number pending further sampling results. Theyd last measured a residual at 1.5ppm, so gave permission to remove notice. Forwarded a copy of the reporting form. ACTION NEEDED: Await confirmation samples before proceeding. | ||
