| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on Confirmation E. Coli + sample DETAILS: After I left messages on 2/15, Laura called today to discuss follow up steps after one of the confirmation source samples on 2/14 came back E. coli positive after an initial E. coli positive source sample at the well taken on 2/7. Given confirmed fecal contamination and no verification of 4-log viral inactivation, a boil water notice will be posted today at park with a copy to County and DWS. Minimal use occuring this time of year. Park shock chlorinated well on 2/15, and is pumping well volume to waste and checking chlorine residuals at well and in park. We discussed corrective action will be required under the Groundwater Rule, and that the options for park would depend on forthcoming well evaluation. ACTION NEEDED: DWS to review well construction and determine next steps for corrective action in conjunction with Curry County. | ||
