| Details: | SUMMARY: Pre-cover construction site visit DETAILS: During the surprise site visit we found the operator along with sub-contractors attempting to seal leaks around the plastic intake pipe (part of the un permitted alterations made in 1996). We observed the spring was not feeding water into the system during the repairs. We discussed turbidity/disinfection protocol with the operator. It is unknown whether these repairs will be successful at this time. We also advised the operator that a boil water notice would need to be re-sent to consumers tomorrow. ACTION NEEDED: Re-issue public notice boil water as soon as possible. Operator shall complete the repairs and disinfect the source and system. After chlorine residuals dissipate, a series of microbiological water test samples will need to be taken to ensure that Ecoli is no longer present in the system prior to lifting the boil water advisory. | ||
