Details: | Called and emailed Leah to talk about the coliform positive result that came up on December 24th Leah called back to follow up. Sounds like she was off for the holiday too and had her certified and trained workers take the routine coliform samples. One sample was taken at the women's shower building, which is part of the potable water system, this came back negative. The second sample that was e-coli positive was taken at the waste treatment building and is not part of the potable drinking water system. This sample was not intended to be turned in to the drinking water program as the routine sample. Leah is working to get the lab to re-certify the samples, but will take time as many labs are currently closed and she's having trouble making contact. This is the update for now. Update 3pm: Leah sent me the lab report from the samples reported on he 24th. The sample that was taken at the wastewater treatment building was not meant to be sent to the state drinking water program. This is not included as part of the potable water supply and was taken in that area mistakenly by another staff member who the sampling was temporarily delegated to due to vacations/holiday time. The water system operator has requested that this sample (#T0L230602) be removed from the records due to the mistaken sampling site, thus removing the water quality alert. Their normal routine sample for this quarter taken at the staff bathrooms is already on data online as negative for coliform. |
