Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up call after survey DETAILS: I phoned Yogi to see if he had any questions about the survey report I mailed him 10 days ago for the USFS Silver Lake Ranger Station. He had not yet received it. So I reviewed what the change of system classification (from CWS to Non-EPA system) means as far as their monitoring requirements and operator certification. I told him what significant deficiencies were identified during the 2012 survey, and that they need to be addressed by the 18 week deadline given in the cover letter. He said he will phone me up within the 30-day contact deadline to let me know how they will address the issues identified. For example, they had an Emergency Reponse Plan written for this system awhile back, so they need to make sure the field staff are familiar with it and have adequate access to it. If that plan is more than 5 years old, it needs to be updated. I also spoke to Tony Stanphill (operator) at the Ranger Station by cell phone, who had only just received his copy of the report and did not have any questions. ACTION NEEDED: Yogi will send me an email to let me know when/if he receives his copy of the survey report by mail. He will also phone me within the 30-day deadline to acknowledge the significant deficiencies they need to address. |
