| Details: | SUMMARY: Status of water system operations DETAILS: I spoke with Carl earlier today about status of water system. According to Carl, the reservoir (SW) source was taken offline in Mid December. Since that time the system has been purchasing water and also using water from Well #1 (beginning Jan 12th), while the operator works to solve the problems with the slow sand filtration system (currently filtering to waste). Approx 3 weeks ago, the system had a flocculation system installed on the raw water source pipe before the SSFs. The floc system uses caustic and Hexafloc300W chemical additives. Carl said both were NSF 60 certified. He will be submitting plans soon (since water is currently filtered to waste there is no violation). Carl reported that ouflow from floc system is 0.2 -0.3 NTU and from SSF#1 1.8 NTU, SSF#2 0.9-1.0 NTU. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time. | ||
