| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive Ecoli DETAILS: I talked to curt onsite about the Ecoli positive source sample at well #2. There was a major leak just after the well a week before the sample was taken. Called Joel and James on the phone. Well #2 has been shut off over the weekend and the chlorine residual was raised over the weekend to over 1 ppm. Curt had the system pre-emotively on a boil notice over the weekend. We will get a copy of the boil notice. Curt has already done a disinfection after the sample for well #2. He will take 5 assessment samples in a couple of weeks since an immediate source sample would not be representative due to the disinfection. The operator also took 4 repeat samples on 11/9/12 and all were absent of coliform. James, Mark and I agreed that with well #2 off and the high chlorine residual over the weekend that the system no longer needed to be on a boil. The system will leave well #2 off until clean samples are obtained but eh system operator will pump to waste to cycle the well ACTION NEEDED: Obtain copy of the boil notice. Follow up with assessment samples after a few weeks for well #2 | ||
