Details: SUMMARY: Positive coliform 1/7/13 DETAILS: Source sample from same day taken at wellhead showed not coliform present. Spoke with Al who had taken the samples. To confirm I suggested drawing repeat samples rather than doing a chlorine shock of the system I explained follow up sampling protocol after finding coliforms present and promised to email basic elements afterward including: collect 4 repeat samples ASAP, one from original tap where coliform was found One within two connections upstream of 1st tap, one within two connections downstream from 1st tap and last one on the other side of system. Usually a source sample from wellhead is also required. In the month following when the sample showed coliform present, 5 temporary routine samples are drawn. I any of the repeat samples or temporary routine samples show coliform again, it confirms some kind of problem does or still exists. Public notice available on state website is required for users. ACTION NEEDED: 4 repeats, ASAP 5 temporary routines in February. Consider shocking and/or calling Health Dept if coliforms found again in either case.
