| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform DETAILS: Owner still experiencing problems with system despite shocking well. System has also had coliform on earlier samplings. Met with Mr. Watkins on 1/24 and then again on 1/30 to provide assistance and direction. Wellhead has openings that could be contributing to problem. Storage tank is sitting in a pit of pooling water and had a lid that was not in place. Owner thinks tank is leaking. He has not been taking chlorine readings. On 1/20 there was no chlorine residual in system. Owner turned up chlorinator. He/I posted tier 2 notices to guest rooms, cabin and RV. He will re shock the well and tank and take regular chlorine readings. He will address lid and wellhead problems. He said he plans to replace the tank. He was instructed to leave the notices up until further sampling shows no coliform ACTION NEEDED: none | ||
