| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert follow up on coliform DETAILS: Routine test positive and repeats were scheduled. Of the 4 repeats 1 was positive for total coliforms the repeat sample sites that was positive had an aerator on the faucet that was not removed. I thought we could get that sample invalidated so I asked the operator to pull another sample correctly from that site. The second sample at that site was positive for coliforms so the system was in violation. Temporary routines were pulled on 3/13/13 and 2 of 4 were positive for coliform. ACTION NEEDED: Asked operator to flush system and he planned on adding powder chlorine to batch the tank to just over 1ppm. I spoke with Daryl on 3/19/13 and asked him to wait until the chlorine residual returns to zero before taking 5 temporary routines also asked him to do some flushing. He had mentioned that he drained about 1/3 volume of the tank. That should help if the problem is turnover. | ||
