| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to customer complaint DETAILS: Chris called me to express frustration at the ongoing boil water notice and the schedule to attempt to return the system to compliance in proposed DWS formal agreement. I explained DWS role not to engineer the solution for the water system. I explained that a realistic schedule for a BiLateral Compliance Agreement is necessary, and that a schedule is dependent on an upcoming user meeting on June 10th to make a final decision on how to resolve the situation. I indicated that the water system mentioned to me that invites would be mailed ahead of this meeting very soon, and that the users will vote and decide on the resolution then. She was not aware of this meeting as she has not been able to reach the system. In response to her complaint that this agreement should have gone out sooner, I explained the DWS active role in reviewing plans, conducting site visits, answering questions, and supporting the County until the recent formal referrel to DWS for enforcement. ACTION NEEDED: DWS to continue with proceeding on enforcement with the water system to return the system to compliance as soon as possible. | ||
