Details: | SUMMARY: Compliance Concerns DETAILS: According to Melissa, Harold Jensen continues to ignore regulatory requirements as the operator of this public water system. Previous detections of Ecoli in the Antler Spring source, resulted in directions from the County and State to keep it offline - until they submit an adequate corrective action plan that is approvable by DWS. They have failed to do so, and recently Harold notified Melissa that they are continuing to use the Antler Spring source. Since is was changed to innactive following the detection of Ecoli - and the water system understood it should remain offline, it was innactivated in SDWIS. Given that they are now using the source, I am reactivating the source in SDWIS effective today. Although results of testing of Antler Spring source water testing indicated the absence of coliform bacteria at that time, the historical presence of confirmed Ecoli cannot be ignored - and should fecal contamination of the source occur again, enforcement actions my be required. ACTION NEEDED: Recommended to County that they continue to document any noncompliance of this water system. |
