| Details: | SUMMARY: Lead & Copper Sampling Recommendations DETAILS: The water system at Rural Dell Elementary has an existing corrosion control system. In June of 2012, lead sample results were over the MCL. The HBH was contacted by Ric Dettwyler at the district office. The maintenance person at the school has changed & the district maintenance supervisor (Mr. Dettwyler) requested assistance regarding Lead & Copper sampling. The school serves 230 students & staff. There are 2 orthophosphate/limestone contractor water treatment units at the school. Had previously met with Mr. Dettwyler to review current sampling practices & make recommendations for the schools Lead & Copper sampling. The HBH received a call regarding additional high lead levels at the school. Discussed probable causes for high test levels with Mr. Dettwyler (likely due to exhaustion of the Hydroblend in the contractor). Attempted further research into the constituents of the Hydroblend. ACTION NEEDED: Meet with School District to discuss possible alternatives to current contractor system. | ||
