| Details: | SUMMARY: Distribution system replacement recommendations DETAILS: The Rowena System is a small groundwater system in Wasco County. The system owns & operates 2 wells & distribution system. The population of approximately 35 people is served through 15 connections. Since August of 2011, the system has continued to have positive coliform test results. The positive test results have been randomly distributed, with samples coming back absent one test, and showing positive the next. However, throughout testing, the samples taken directly from the wells have not shown any coliform counts. The leads us & their operator to believe the source of the coliform is coming from their distribution system & not their wells. Phil Rengler contacted the HBH to request assistance with additional alternatives to eliminate their coliform problem. We initially provided a report that detailed a disinfection system. After several phone conversations they requested that we further study, provided recommendations, & detail costs for replacement of their distribution system. Provided distribution system replacement recommendations & pricing. ACTION NEEDED: Provide additional assistance if requested. | ||
