Details: SUMMARY: Site visit, progress toward intertie b/w Oak grove and Ice fountain DETAILS: Hood River County Health Department (Ian Stromquist, REHS) spoke with Mark Beam (Ice Fountain WD / Oak Grove Water Company) regarding progress toward serving the remaining Oak Grove Water Company customers with Ice Fountain WD water. Water had been previously pumped up the hill to the 100,000 gallon Oak Grove reservoir on Binns Hill Road. After flushing the pipes and the reservoir, recent tests show that a number of customers on Binns Hill Road (below the reservoir) are now served with safe water.Oak Grove Water now only serves customers on Kingsley road and those customers on Binns Hill road uphill from the reservoir. To maintain avoid confusing the remaining Oak Grove customers, all public notifications will remain the same. Mark Beam will personally inform the most recent individuals of the change.Mark Beam also reported that the new pumping system has arrived. Installation will begin this week. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to intertie Oak Grove Water Company customers into the Ice Fountain Water District as per the Bilateral Compliance Agreement.
