| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate alert DETAILS: I discussed the alert with Colin, operator. Colin does not know what the possible source of the nitrate is but suspects the pond behind the school. I checked the history nitrate test results and noted no obvious pattern. Between 1994 and 2013 the results are mixed with a 1.7 mg/L in 2012 and a 4.2 MG?L in 2000.System will start quarterly monitoring for nitrate starting April 1st 2013. ACTION NEEDED: I informed Colin of the change to quarterly monitoring. We also discussed the recommendations in the source water assessment report. He will consider developing a drinking water protection plan and involving reps from pcss to identify BMPs as noted on page 24 | ||
