Details: | SUMMARY: 1. Plan review update requirements and water odor issue DETAILS: 7/8 Call from Matt Rippe operator at OPRD regarding water odor issue after installing NSF 61 tank clad on holding tank per plan review requirements.I reviewed product information to no avail of info that might address this issue. One thing I picked up on is the installation instruction do not identify process for application directly on wood, which is what was done on the system.Emailed Evan the following on 7/9/13: This is the NSF tank clad that Saddle mt operators put on the redwood tank this spring (end of April, beg of May). They are having complaints on chemical odor of the water if it sits in the tank for a day or more. No taste quality issues but odor. Do you know of this product and have any idea/recommendation on the odor issue. I read through the product info….one thing I noticed is it did not give instruction for application directly to wood (wondering if that might be an issue). Also Matt at Nehalem State Park said he thought the construction waiver has been submitted for the tank foundation. If you haven’t seen it yet is who within DWS can I check with on this.7/9/2013 cc on email to Evan from Matt with construction waiver request.7/10 Email from Evan- issue of odor could come from the application or not curing correctly. I discussed this with Matt.7/12 Email from Matt stating mid july during new pump installation the tank will be emptied and time to cure. I was also cc on email to Evan, submission of Saddle Mountains construction waiver request. ACTION NEEDED: 7/9/13 Pending return correspondence from Evan.Response 7/10/13 from Evan. System to cure sealant. No further follow up. |
