| Details: | SUMMARY: Source Assessment + TC sample DETAILS: Stan Amundson, water operator for Wandering Spirit, called this morning to ask for advice on what to do after hearing from the lab that he has a postive total coliform sample from his wellhead (source assessment sample). He said he flushed the distribution system and reservoir tank after hearing the test result. I told him the sample is prior to the distribution system and that the sample is required to monitor his groundwater source for one year. The system currently disinfects with UV and chlorine. He said the disinfection system is working and being monitored daily. I told him he doesnt need to take repeat samples at this time. I set up an appointment with him to conduct the first sanitary survey in October. ACTION NEEDED: Water operator needs to take water system operator training. | ||
