| Details: | SUMMARY: Sewage spill DETAILS: The PH duty office, Jennifer Masotja, called Portland OHA-DWS at 11:50 am to report a sewage spill from OERS. She is on the road and unable to send an OERS report, but she said 45,000 gallons of sewage has spilled into the Umpqua River near Bollon Island in the Reedsport area of Douglas County. The spill occurred at 9 am and was reported to OERS at 11:30 am. Dept of Ag, DEQ, the local health department, and the local hospital have all been notified. The spill is not resolved at this time and is ongoing. Contact is: Raymond Davenport (541) 662-0151 from Gardener Sanitation. ACTION NEEDED: Forwarded to OHA-DWP springfield office, Russell Kazmierczak (phone duty) at 11:58 am. Need to evaluate whether any public water systems may be impacted (e.g. surface water systems with intakes downstream of the spill). | ||
