Details: SUMMARY: Response to OERS Spill on Umpqua River near Bolon Island DETAILS: Received call from Greg Baird regarding 45,000 gallons of sewage spilled into the Umpqua River near Bollon Island, HWY 101 Bridge, in the Reedsport area of Douglas County. The spill occurred at 9 am and was reported to OERS at 11:30 am. Dept of Ag, DEQ, the local health department, and the local hospital have all been notified. Reviewed GIS layer for intakes and no water systems located downstream of spill. Contacted Raymond Davenport and he was not aware of any water system downstream of spill. ACTION NEEDED: No action needed, no surface water intakes were located downstream from the spill which occurred at the HWY 101 Bridge on the Umpqua River.
