| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on line break - loss of positive pressure DETAILS: Jim notified me via email on 9/24 that a 4-inch line broke at the intersection of Deverell and Louden Road due to a malfunctioning pressure reducing valve. System immediately shut off 2 gate valves and isolated the resulting loss in positive pressure to 4 connections on a dead end street. System verified > 100 psi at two locations downstream of gate valves. Hence it was determined that a localized boil order the four connections was acceptable. System made repairs on 9/24, had pressure up to acceptable levels, noted a 0.9 mg/L chlorine residual and took a coliform sample. Sample results returned absent with 0.7 mg/L on Deverell on 9/26, and 4 housed notified boil order may be lifted. ACTION NEEDED: DWS to continue to offer support, and forward updated loss of positive pressure public notice boil order template to Corbett. | ||
