| Details: | SUMMARY: Boil order until supply main can get repaired DETAILS: Minikahda suffered a supply main break on Saturday (9.28.13) morning resulting in a total loss of pressure in a their distribution system. Hand delivery of the boil notice was distributed. Repairs are ongoing, so the water system remains under a boil notice until water sampling confirms the water is bacteriologically safe. Soonest getting back online is likely Monday, 10.7.13, assuming parts are available, etc. ACTION NEEDED: Keep raw-water penstocks overflowingly full (to overcome the break in both 12"pipes) to provide the plant with enough water to treat to service the distribution system. Fix breaks in the (somewhat unusual) pvc pipes. Flush distribution. Take 5 coliform samples Request DWS to end the boil notice. |
