| Details: | SUMMARY: E.Coli+ alert follow up DETAILS: Called Nate 4pm 10/1 after he had already spoke to Michelle Byrd. 5 repeats had already been taken (same, up, down, and at both Varco and Young well sources). Recommended he get Boil water notices prepared as well as chlorination techniques for both wells and reservoir. Talked to Lab today at 1:30 and Young well and upstream 66631 repeats both TC+ and she will flouresce at 3pm to see if E.coli. I called Nate and he will start distributing Boil Water Notices with the help of Deke. They will post at community board and start door to door. He will also start chlorinating Young well and the reservoir. I also asked that he take a special sample near the intertie with the north/east portion of the system. (there is an intertie that links to two halves of the system, but the valve is closed). This special sample will ensure the valve is indeed closed and there is no contamination on that side of the system. A routine sample on this side of the system 9/29 showed absent. ACTION NEEDED: Post or otherwise distribute Boil Water notices to all affected customers on SW side of system. Get me a copy of the notice and how/when posted. Take special sample near intertie on north side and start chlorinating. Keep up boil water notice until problem fixed and verfication samples show absent from at least young well and cascade avenue. | ||
