| Details: | SUMMARY: boil water notice DETAILS: City has a break in the transmission line between the springs and reservoir. Water appeared discolored on 10/1 and city placed itself on a boil water notice. A coliform bacteria sample collected on 10/1 came back positive for E. coli (was marked as a special). Word of the boil water notice was brought to the attention of the drinking water services from a local resident. DWS called the City and was given copies of the notices being posted around town. An approved notice was typed up and will be sent with the water bills on 10/4. ACTION NEEDED: System to bump up chlorine residual and flush once the line is repaired. System to lift boil water notice when 5 good water samples have been tested by their water lab. Results are to be submitted to DWS. | ||
