| Details: | SUMMARY: Source Water Quality Issues DETAILS: The City of St Paul owns & operates a water system which supplies approximately 400 people through 153 connections. The City has a groundwater sourced system with 1 permanent well & 1 emergency well & a pressure filter plant for iron & manganese removal. The Circuit Rider was contacted by OWA-DWS staff then Frank Sinclair to provide assistance with water quality issues. The source well has very high iron & manganese. In addition, the City has recently experienced water quantity issues with the well. Met with operations staff at the City. Reviewed water quality & quantity issues. Investigated current filter media (MTM), pretreatment oxidation operation & filtration rates. Provided City with list of water quality parameters to test for determination of other potential treatment options. ACTION NEEDED: Provide further source water quality & quantity recommendations. | ||
