Details: SUMMARY: OERS 2013-2228 incident DETAILS: After being notified by OERS at 4 pm on 10/28, of 40 gallons of jet fuel being spilled into the South Umpqua River north of Canyonville, I notified Tony as the City has an intake downstream from the spill location. Tony asked about travel time and dispersion of the jet fuel. I forwarded the OERS report and suggested he discuss technical details with the HazMat contact on the ground -forwarded that number to Tony as well. ACTION NEEDED: DWS to support the City as appropriate.
