| Details: | SUMMARY: ALERT Arsenic MCl DETAILS: Marlyn called to report the recent arsenic result. The sample was taken at the EP for both wells and was at 0.0159 mg/l. I sent him the public notice template and asked for copy once it has been issued. I am changing the monitoring schedule to quarterly for arsenic and will review the RAA after 4 consecutive quarters are complete (Mid 2014). We discussed treatment options and Marlyn is going to do some research and get cost estimates. I noticed that well #1(OLD) is listed as inactive in SDWIS, though it is being used currently. I asked Marlyn to have each well evaluated for arsenic as it may be possible to use only one well or blend them to achieve compliance. I also gave him info for the circuit rider program.
