| Details: | SUMMARY: E. coli in 9-12-13 source samples DETAILS: Discussion by phone with Randy Parrott:5 source samples due from each of the 2 sources where e.coli found present. Spring #3 and old school spring (additional sampling where only coliform found present in source sample not needed.) because of the time lapse since e. coli was found, a violation for both sources is expected. Discussed potential need for boil notice, but decided >0.5 mg/l at 45 minutes provided the necessary 4 log disinfection. also verified that chlorine residual samples in the distribution system were consistent with chlorine measured at first user. Discussed that it was not immediately obvious if either spring was subject to surface water influence. Noted that the old school spring box had been recently opened for the first time in years for work to be done on the box. Perhaps this allowed source of e coli.Also discussed the numbering system used on source samples was consistent with Randys plans of the new springs, but different than numbering used on last survey. At some point we all need to use the same numbers. ACTION NEEDED: Draw 5 samples from old school springand draw 5 samples from spring #3. | ||
