| Details: | SUMMARY: routine coliform positive for sample date 10/28/13 DETAILS: I contacted the operator of the system. The system is a summer camp and does not operate during the winter months. Tom confirmed that this is still the case and when the sample was taken the building had not been in use for over a month. He received the post card from DWS as the system missed its third quarter routine coliform sample. He sampled in forth quarter thinking that this would resolve the violation. I let him know that since the building was empty he would not have to sample again until the second quarter. They will need to samples prior to having the first group out to the camp. Tom said that they would be sure to disinfect & flush the system prior to sampling next spring. I reminded him that DWS looks for sampling to be done 2nd & 3rd quarter since they are a seasonal system. ACTION NEEDED: Follow up in spring to be sure system samples on time. | ||
