| Details: | SUMMARY: Routine total coliform positive DETAILS: Received call from Frank on Friday November 21st about routine total coliform-positive sample collected on November 19th at 11378 Horny Hollow. Repeat samples were already being collected in addition to a triggered source sample from Well #1 in use at the time. Spoke to Frank on Monday November 25th about two of the repeat samples being total coliform-positive (Alert ID COLI12445). Discussed the total coliform MCL and public notice required. Avion Water Company will be evaluating coliform issue to determine corrective action. Frank inquired about limited public notice in lower pressure zone where coliform issue occurred. Received email on Tuesday November 26th with information for limited public notice in lower pressure zone. Spoke to Frank about direct delivery of public notice to customers in affected area. Phone calls will also be made to those residents. Advised posting notice in common areas. The plan is to chlorinate affected area followed by flushing and additional sampling. ACTION NEEDED: Distribute 30-day public notice and submit copy of notice to DMCE. Five (5) routine follow-up samples are needed in December. |
